Default SMC Saddle Pack charging

Hi,

I get some used SMC Saddle Pack Li-Polymer 5300mAh 7.4v 40C+ battery. I think that Saddle Pack is 2 cell battery and I should charge it as a 2S battery...but as you can see in pictures there is a label on them... that directs me to charge as 3 cells...

So how should I charge them?

If its a 3 cell, the voltage will be 9 to 12.6v. If its a 2 cell voltage will be 6 to 8.4v. There is no overlap so a lipo capable charger, charging in lipo mode will not let you make a mistake. If you try as a 3cell and its really a 2cell, charger should give you an error.

The other way that tells you this is a 2S is the balanmce wires - there are only 3 wires, a 3S would have four wires. This is a 2S !!!!

Looks like the lable is wrong, lipo say 7.4v which is a 2cell. Unless your DVM/MM tells you otherwise, I'd try charging as a 2cell. Def a screw up with the label!
