Default Noob LiPo Question

Is 8.4v a safe voltage to charge a 2s LiPo to? I could have sworn I read that somewhere, but for the life of me I cant find where. So is it safe, or is shyt gonna blow up?

yes. 8.4V is correct for a fully charged 2S lipo. Each cell is fully charged when it reaches 4.2 volts, so for 2S that would be 8.4

Lipo deals with 3 voltages - 3.7v/cell which is called the 'nominal' voltage - its the voltage you always see mentioned. Fully charged voltage od 4.2v/cell which is what you see with a proper lipo capable charger. The last voltage is the minimum voltage of 3.0v/cell which you should not discharge your lipo below, overdischarging can damage a lipo (swells or puffs) and make it unsafe to use anymore.
