Default HELP! Dynamite Passport Ultra Question

I have owned a Dynamite Passport Ultra for about 2 months now. Everything was fine until this weekend.

I plug a Lipo and plug the balancer. As soon as I hit start on the balance charge mode, the very next second there is an error flashing. "STOP" , "OPEN", "STOP" , "OPEN"

I tried charging 2s and 4s and I get the same error.

HELP

Open means your charger isn't seeing continuity on one of the wires. Check all connections on balance plugs, etc.

I've seen this happen to a couple friends with the same charger. Usually due to a balance wire that wasn't plugged in on a hard case LiPo. Haven't seen it on my personal Passport Ultra though.

The thing that concerns me is why isn't that error on the manual. Unless I have missed it. I went over it about 5 times and can't find that error description.

Turbowop,

What happened to your friends chargers...are they working fine after they fixed the wire on the balancer?

The problem wasn't with their chargers, it was with the balance wire on the battery.

Top of page 15 in your manual -

"Warning Information
1. If the battery connection is lost during
operation, the OPEN/STOP error will flash.
Reconnect battery or replace."

So, you guys recommend this charger? Would you buy it all over again?
Thanks!

I got the open/stop error once, after I reversed the battery leads . I called Horizion and sent in my charger. 8 days later they sent me one NIB. I don't know what I did internally but you could smell the magic smoke was set free. Does yours smell burned at all?
