Default MRT PTX Transponder Problem

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or experience with my type of problem.

I recently purchased 3 of these MRT PTX transponders. One for me and two for my friend.

However I started having trouble with my unit. I have the PTX installed on an Kyosho Inferno GT1 with a KO Propo EX-10 Helios radio with FM 75mhz RF501f module and KR302f receiver. The unit worked great for a few races, then started to cause my radio to glitch uncontrollably. I cant explain why it caused the problem, but I can explain how I determined it was the PTX causing the problem.

With the PTX plugged in my radio glitched, with it unplugged it did not. I had an AMB transponder as a back up and it worked fine plugged into the same receiver. I had tried two of the same model receivers, and 3 different sets of crystals prior to switching to the AMB, all with the exact same result.

My questions are:

1. Are you aware of any interference caused by the PTX with a KO Propo 75mhz KR302f FM receiver, or any other FM receiver? If so what can I do to minimize it? It seems that the guys running 2.4ghz have no problems, Could it be an FM thing?

2. Is it possible that this is a power related issue? I was using a brand new 5 cell fully charged hump pack. I checked all wiring and even tried the battery plugged directly into the receiver with the same results.

3. What should I try next? I already plan on converting to 2.4ghz some day when I can afford it.

Thanks in advance for replies.

Ya I did that yesterday before I posted here, but to a different email address. I re-sent the same email to the new address you posted. Thanks.

I went ahead and bought a KO 2.4ghz module and receiver yesterday. Hopefully that will be the end of the problems, but I would still like to hear if anyone has an idea or experience with this sort of problem.
