Im lookin at getting a 2s 5000mah lipo.....i want to get the highest C rating i can get but i dont know what the C rating stands for. I have a slash 4x4 with the VXL-3s system

C rating is the discharge capability of the lipo. A 5000mah 25C theoretically can discharge 5000/1000 x 25 = 125amps.

If you're racing, higher C ratings are better. Just bashing, beyond a certain point, higher C rating prob not needed since motor will never need or use the extra.


The C business is also used in charging as in a 1C charge rate. Here the 5000mah 1C charge rate is simply 5000/1000 = 5amps. A 5C charge rate would be 25amps.
