Default Hobbico Servo's

Anybody have BAD luck with any of these servos? They are supposedly the same as the hitec 7955. Also, do they use the same servo horns as hitec?

Those are the same as the 5955TG, not the 7955TG.

..the warranty is the best part about owning a Hitec. For the price difference( 12-15 dollars: Hitec 7955 Great Hobbies ), I'd go for the Hitecs.

...and they do use the same servo horns as the as the Hitec's. I've been racing for 12 years and the 5955-7955 series are the best and longest lasting servo's I've ever ran. And the Hobbico CS170 is a 5955 with a different sticker and lower price.

I've been running the CS170 on steering, and a CS160 on throttle for 6+ months.. No troubles at all.. And the CS170 is a HiTec 5955 which is what I run on buggy, and have for 2 years..

Hitec is the only servo I'll buy because of their excellent performance and stellar service.

I use the CS-170 in my Rock Crawler and it is holding up well.

The gears are titanium same as the 5955/7955 Hitec series not steel.

So, what is the difference between the 5955 and 7955?

looks like the 5955 has a little more torque and weighs a few grams less than the 7955

The Hobbico CS170 looks to be the same specs as a 7955TG but weighs 3 grams less.
