Default Receiver antenna length

I just switched from spectrum receivers to ko receivers and the length of the antenna on the ko receivers are much longer so I was wondering if I kept some length of antenna in my receiver box would I have any problems. The only reason I'm asking is because I keep breaking the long antenna tubes and I like the look of the real small antenna tube.

You will be ok. I have ran the helios and now the eurus, and use a 3 inch antenna.
