Default burshless esc help

I got my first brushless motor and speed control this week.
Unfortunately they were both used and the esc had no wires hooked up.
So tonight I got it all wired up and unfortunately the motor won't start its self but will run if i give it a slight spin and pull the throttle.
I have the motor wires hooked up right and the sensor wire is there too.
This is an lrp 10.5 eraser motor and an lrp tc sphere esc
please help

You really need known good components to pinpoint where your problem lies. There is so many possibilities that could create that exact problem that it is difficult to tell you something. Bad ESC, bad sensor harness, bad sensors, bad connections, demagnetized motor, etc.....not necessarily in that order, and I may have left out a few possible causes. I will say that the most common cause for these types of problems is user error. Not saying you did something wrong, but definitely double check and triple check all of your work with the manual to make sure.

Wish I could be more help.

It really sounds like a sensor wire problem to me, when you hit the throttle does the motor stutter at all?

The problem was a bad solder on one phase.
The motor wouldn't spin at all if i hit the throttle. I also had a dead battery so that made the motor have no guts
