Default Unregulated lipo reciever packs

I just wanted some feedback. I am a little nervous to run my servos unregulated. I have Hitec 7955 and a 7954 they are both lipo compatible. My lipo unregulated is 8.4 volts. Any feed back. Is anyone having any bad luck with unregulated lipo with hv servos?

I dont understand why people are so reluctant to run their lipos without a regulator?

You can run your HiTec servos unregulated. Just make sure your receiver can handle the voltage.

I have been running my JR servos on lipo unregulated for about 6months without a probelm... I'm sure the Hitech servos will be fine!!

i know alot of the recievers are rate up to 9.6v. i also know alot of guys who run lipo rx packs without a regulator. i know the spektrum, kopro and futaba work (carefull with the futaba, they get hot a shut off in the summer sometimes). just make sure your servos can handle the higher voltage.

Spektrum receiver can take up to 9.6V. So unregulated lipo is ok if you run spektrum. However, I know for sure Futaba receiver won't work. I am a living example. Better run LIFE 6.6

Thanks guys. I just heard some horror stories about people burning hv servos up and did not want to be another log on the fire. I bet these people are just setting there end points wrong or not at all.

Thanks

The regulators seem to fail at the worst times........
