Default DX3s Spektrum Temp sensor problem

I need a little help.... has anyone had trouble with their temp sensor, I bought a 8ight 2.0 rtr, the temp telemetry is off. The higher the temp gets the more drastic the difference between my hand held temp gun and the radio readings. For example, at 200 on the radio, I am only reading between 165 and 170 with my temp gun, at 230 on the radio I get 195. Basically it is off around 15%. I have tried to move the sensor to different locations with no success. Has anyone else had this issue??

If you look at the reading as soon as it comes off the track you need to give it a few seconds for the temp to settle down sort of...The temp will show a cooler temp while the car is running on the track but as soon as you stop give it about 30 seconds or so then look at the reading. Mine has not been to far off from the hand held temp gun, maybe 1o degrees or so..

1 degree of difference is no problem but if 15 to 20. the error is much
