Default Fantom 5000 LiPo Issue

O.K. not sure if this is a known issue with this pack or not?

But I had this pack for less then a year with lite usage and in fact the past 6 months with little to no usage. I would use it once a month or so and checked it once a month to make sure the voltage was o.k.

Today I take it out and find this.

I decided to put in on my charger with the balancer and it read fine. It took a around 400mah and is showing 8.38v. The difference between cells is around .06v. Not to high I would think? But higher then it had been before.

The pack was never over discharged and always charged using a balancer. It was stored in pyrex container and in a safe temperature. The pack always performed very well with no issues.

I just can't see how this could happen?

Either way I guess I'm out the money I spent on this pack?

You were basically storing it between uses fully charged?

Then you just had bad luck and got a bad one. If Fantom has any warranty, its time to contact them, but given its age, suspect you're out the money.

Its not safe to use any more, esp if it shows any more changes.
