I believe the Mamba Micro Pro is still top dawg for all out power handling. Novak Mongoose is preferred by many racers for the sensored design, but I have seen them overheat in some situations. Personally my favorite is the EZRun Version 2 controllers. They are smooth as anyone could ask for, and they seem to run more motors smoothly than my Mambas will. It helps that they have 18A, 25A, 25A w/fan, 35A w/fan and more if you really need that much power. Its nice that I can buy the size I need without spending extra for a limit I will never use. I also like the programming card for trackside adjustments. There is a few guys I race with frequently and when they start catching me Ill just pull over and 30 seconds later I am back on track with more power, or less punch when traction is low. They always give me a hard time and tell me I am cheating.

The real deal best controller for a mini would be the Tekin RS. It is a 10th scale ESC, but it has such a small footprint that many use it in 18th scale. It has sensored or sensorless operation as well as more power capability than just about anyone with mini sclaes could ever use.
