Default Servo Question

Just wanted to know if anyone has tried the Team Orion VDS 1409 in an 1/8th scale buggy or truggy? Are they any good?

I am looking for a new servo, and I like to try something a little different (I used Hitec before Hitec was cool! ).

The specs on it seems fairly impressive in speed and torque for a buggy. Anyway, just wanted some opinions.

Thanks!

i run a orion vortex 1007 servo in my, 1/8 buggy and like it i think you will have to turn down the speed ,cause its a quick servo. i had to adjust my steering epa to, tone it down lol. but it centers really, good and smooth.
and alot of places are out, of stock of them. its fine on a buggy

That sounds great. Thanks for the response! Yeah, I looked at the 1007 and it seemed a little too fast for me. I was intrigued by the 1409 because it is a little faster than what I have now (.13), but has almost 200oz of torque.

Anyone else?

i know theres a another guy on here that, has a hot bodies d8t that runs the orion vortex servo that, has around 200 oz of torque . theres proberty others too. yea the 1007 is (.07) i had to turn, it down a lot lol. but yea it should last in a 1/8 buggy not sure, about a truggy though.
