Questions?? Wow! Hyperion EOS 0606i

Sup guyz. I'm looking online for the best price on a Hyperion EOS 0606i and I came across this site. They are selling the Hyperion EOS 0606i for $109.95 plus free shipping. Looks to good to be true? Has anyone bought anything from them?

The current model of the 0606i is the AD-C. The first shop linked is selling that model. I'm not sure if the 2nd shop linked is selling the current model or not.

I'd be sure I knew which one I was buying.

That is the current price for the Hyperion AC/DC charger. Allerc.com sells it for that price with free shipping.

If you live outside the US, rclipos.com sells it for $120, inc. international shipping.

There are also two versions of this charger.

Version A has a blue LCD and a minor software bug. When balance charging lipos using a bullet harness, it will constantly beep and display an error as you unplug the lipo, requiring you to hit cancel. It's not critical, just a minor annoyance.

Version B has a yellow LCD and a software fix for the above problem. It also includes a lipo store function.

I imagine most places would have version B in stock by now. It's been out for awhile.

On another note, if you find a Swallow EQ at a good price, they're identical internally. Open up an 0606i and inside you will find a 'Swallow EQ' PCB.

Finally, if your 0606i ever dies, open it up and you'll find a perfectly usable 5A 12v power supply. It's a generic laptop/monitor power adaptor they built into the case. Perfect for powering a Turnigy Accucel or equivalent.

Amain must be behind - they're still showing $139.99.....

scrawl - then what's the diff with the "C" version thats shown in the OP's link? l.ink shows that one as the "0606i AD-C" or is that in error? I thought I had read something somewhere that the latest change was in the menu - something about moving some option up to primary level??

The "C" version is not shown on Hyperions charger page either??

From Hyperion's website:

NEWS! EOS0606i-AD-C is released on OCT 15! It comes with HP and XH multi adapters and LIPO and LIFE are both on same menu level as PB, NiCd and NiMH. (It was in a sub menu in "B" type) Easier to use!

Correct - no.

Thats the charger page and its out of date and does not have the quote you provided on the C model.....This page has the C Manual, but nothing else.

I'm tryig to find the Hyperion corporate page which is where I thought you found the C info. The above page is all I've been able to find directly or indirectly thru google or any other search engine I've tried.
