Default ESC Troubles???

Bought a Novak HavokPro ESC w/Novak Balistic 6.5 to put in my new Hyper10SC with the stock 11t pinion and stock spur. First time out with the truck. I raced at OCRC and got through 2 heats fine. Started the main and went 7 laps and the vehicle quit running. I checked and made sure all the connections were good. Took the vehicle home and tried to duplicate the issues. I used 2 separate charged and balanced lipos to make sure it wasn't the battery. The racing lipo was 2s 5000mah 7.4v 40c, the other was a 2s 5000mah 7.4v 20c. Both batteries had the same result, vehicle stopped running after about 3 minutes. Checked for heat (ESC, Motor and Battery) and it wasn't hot to the touch.

Any suggestions??? I am getting ready to send the ESC to Novak to get it checked out.

Thanks

Nothing out of the ordinary. No hard or high speed crashes. I crashed more in the heats than I did in the main.

It sounds like you pretty much tried everything you could to diagnose the problem. I have not owned a Havok, but some of the other Novak ESCs use lights to indicate what the "on-board diagnostics" say. For instance, a red and green light blinking rapidly could mean overheating, or a purple light flashing slowly could indicate loss of signal. These are not the actual signals, but just an example I made up to get my point across. You would have to check your manual to see if this feature exists on yours or not. Other than that Im not sure what else you could do but send Novak an email. They are typically very willing to assist customers.
