My son has a Traxxas slash. Would it be faster if I put in a Novak Havoc with a 13.5 or should I keep the stock motor and speedo in it? He'll be running 3600 NIMH batteries or we could put a 2400 20C 2 cell Orion lipo in.

Just trying to see what we could do to make his car more competitive in the novice class.

All I can say is LIPO

It would definitely be faster with the Havok combo, in fact you could probably run the 17.5 and be fine. I would keep him with NiMH batteries as with the added weight the truck will be easier for him to drive.
