Which EZRUN Brushelss combo?
#1
I am goin to buy an EZRUN brushelss combo but not 100% sure what I want to do. I will be using it in a HPI Blits both indoor carpet and outdoor in dirt. I am only going to run 2S 5000mah lipo's and not 3 cell lipos.
EZRUN Brushless System Combo B2 w/ 35A ESC & 9T@4300KV 3650M Brushless Motor for 1/12,1/10 on-road racing $70
OR
EZRUN Brushless System Combo B5 w/ 60A ESC and 8.5T@4000KV 3650-Size Brushless Motor for 1/12,1/10 off-road racing $100
I dont want anything insane fast and it would be nice to spend $70 vs. $100.
Any advice would be helpful.

I would steer you toward the 60A option. Even stock brushed motors can pull 50amps in hard racing, so I think you'd definitely notice the difference with a 4000KV.
I've never regretted spending a little extra for the the better equipment.

Go with the 60a, the 35a will do fine in a light 2wd buggy, or onroad, and might would get you by in the blitz. I really think you have too much truck for only a 35a. Plus the motor that comes with the 60a is a true 540size. For that truck its worth the extra $30

I think what I will do is just buy the motor seperate instead of buying a kit. I'm going to go with the 60A speed controller and 17.5T or 13.5T motor because of the rules of the class. I drove a 10.5T motor in a Blitz and it was way to fast for the track. The 8.5T would just be way way way too much. It will be more money in the end but I will get what I want.
