upgrade/conversion

I plan to upgrade my receiver and transmitter from a 27mhz to 75 mhz. Would that mean that I will also have to upgrade my ESC ? or do I just have to re-program them to accept the upgrade?

No, the esc isn't affected, you just need to recalibrate the Tx to the esc after you make the change.
