Default Experts Help Needed!

Question:

I am going backwards from Nomadio 2.4 radio systems ( long story) to a JRX3synthesized 75 FM band system. I'm still waiting on delivery.

Question:

If I set the JR transmitter to a channel, can I use a Hitec DCX 75 FM brand receiver with the corresponding crystal in the receiver? Or do I have to have a synthesized receivers (JR, Novak) to work with the transmitter? Will the transmitter and receiver work properly in the Hitec application with 1 crystal?

thanks....

The DCX will work, but so will the Novak XXTra 75mHz Synth receiver... Make sure you buy it direct from Novak, only $39. I have three of these and they are great, any frequency you need without Xtals. I use a Hitec HFS-03MT in my son's E Savage and it's a good receiver for the money, I only paid $24 for it plus crystal. Synth receivers work well for us because I can drive my son's cars and he can drive mine. We can take a friend along and put him on a different channel without binding receivers to radios. You might as well get a synth receiver just in case you need a different channel since the TX is synth.

Or try to get a rs310.. good receivers. Very reliable, and you can get a good price for them if you watch your sales. The Jr 300's are good also, but are limited to like 5 or 5.5 volt output, where the 310 are not.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's been so long I couldn't remember whether a DCX would work. I do have a JR 300 and a Novak XXtra already. I have about 2-3 DCX's laying around so that is why for my inquirey.

Looking around I can only find JR 310's in 27 band. Do they come in 75 band too?

thanks again....
