Its looks like its a knock off of the HC Accucels and other chargers.

Looks like you're going to be the 1st with one......you tell us.

Knock-off = copy

Has same specs. The buttons, the external wires and balance ports, these layouts are the same, look familar? Case is bigger and different color, bet yours has a blue backlight too just like this one.

Not saying their not good, I have one of the Accucels and its a good charger, just haven't seen the version you bought before.

I think the Accucel is not the orig either, its a copy of the iMax charger.

YOUR right lol
Well idc as long as it charges my batteries im fine

Duster_360 12-20-2009 06:47 PM

Its a good charger, you won't be disappointed, it has a ton of features you normally wouldn't get in an inexpensive charger. I've enjoyed using mine and it'll be a yr old in about 2 weeks.

Clairvoyant973 12-20-2009 06:51 PM

oh good :p i was going to pay 80 bucks for a charger but i was like WHY if i can spend 30 bucks and its good to go and has a balancer

Does that charger need a power supply

Duster_360 12-20-2009 07:07 PM

Yes, it requires a power supply, its a DC charger. Anything with 11-18v and about 6 amps continuous work run the charger at its max power.

I bought this Ofna Prolux power supply. Spec 9-14v with 18amp power supply. You think this is adequate?? I'll be charging a Thunder Power 5000mah 40c Lipo with possibly buying another and charging that also.

Thats plenty even for a 6S (25.2v x 5a = 126 watts) for a 1C charge. That power supply has 14v x18a = 252watts.

What cell count, 4S?

avrcguy 12-22-2009 02:45 PM

There's a million of these chargers out there, under just as many names. It will probably be just fine. Though you probably could have found it cheaper elsewhere.

It's a 2s. However I like the flexibility the Accucel-8 charger gives me just in case.

Going to power an Accucel-8 if I didn't already mention. I'll admit, looks were a part of the purchase in addition to the power. lol.

Your Accucel-8 is a 150 watt charger, your power supply supplies 252watts, you're in great shape, you can run the charger at full power anytime you need to.

I like the way my Accucel-6 looks too, esp the backlight.
