lego project... which esc?
i dont know much about rc electronic so which esc should i get?
i am making a lego car and need it to be wireless so am using rc electronics. i have got a acoms techniplus receiver + servo am looking for a esc to finish it of must be under £20-25 pounds and be brushed with bec its for a 9v motor so should be 9.6v (or should i buy a 7.2v) also should have reverse with or without brake the lego motor draws 0.32 amps the the esc doesnt need to be powerful i was thinking about getting helicopter esc because it cheap would that work on a rc lego car. it got acoms techniplus transmitter + receiver is that compatable or would i need separate radio gear. and do they have reverse or should i just buy a proper rc car esc and which one, thanks |
Airplane & Heli speed cons are great, but I would think lack reverse...
Any inexpensive car speed con. will likely fit the bill, but there would be voltage limits. here is an example of about the cheepest fwd/rev I know of other than used. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXAMN7&P=0 You'll should check locally if you're not from this side of the pond. |
yh im from UK so there aint many LHS, i been researching and i dont think there are many esc for that budget that fit the bill so i am going to start lookin got 6 cell esc instead, Thanks

me and my buddy made rc cars out of k'nex a long time ago. we used standard car electronics though, servo, 6 cell battery, esc ad the motor was smaller than 540. maybe 300ish. i usually did dual motors. had decent speed and did wheelies. made front shocks. they actually held up pretty good. once i put a nitro engine in one but didnt work out so well.... the car broke apart while trying to pull start the engine. good luck with your project. its fun and different. i was going to try legos once but its too small for the electronics i was using.
