Default strange servo issue

Ok here is the situation. I am setting up another touring car using a KO kr407s receiver, ex-5ur controller novak havoc 3s esc, and jr z250 steering servo. Everything works as it should except for that the servo on occasion will not come back to center and operates “choppy” when steering is applied slowly (steering components are free). Also you can occasionally move the servo horn about 5-10 degrees with little resistance (gears are fine). I have another car with the same setup except I use a spektrum z590 and it operates perfectly.

Plugging in the spektrum servo from car B to car A all works fine…servo issue right? But plug car A servo into car B and all works fine too.

Also I have used some older futaba 3004’s on car A with the same response (dead band and choppy operation)

Are the jr and the old futaba servos not compatable with the KO receiver or DSM system?

I haven't looked, but there are some newer radios that keep speed up with a different control method.

Is there any thing in the documentation that "digital" servos are required?

Thanks for the reply. I did not read anything with regard to the servo type (digital vs analog) and the spektum servo (according to the spektum site) is an analog servo itself.

One would think that this issue has to be something that I am not seeing here on the car.
