Default Discharging 1c lipos??

Hey guys. I see that some battery manufactures say to discharge your 1 cell lipo before charging it. What are you guys doing and is this necessary?

If the manufacturer says to do it, then it might be wise. Mine don't require it, so I don't. Just make sure you don't go below the minimum voltage.
