Are certain brand/model TX/RX more prone to interference?

One of my AM radios/RXs (Jaguar...aka TTR or AE) seems more prone to interference than my other ones. I've switched crystals in it and it still gets interference while my other AM TX/RXs (HPI/Futaba and Kyosho) with the same crystals don't get the same interference. Are certain brands or models just more prone to interference due to design, etc.?
Also, in my case above, would the susceptibility to interference be more a characteristic of the RX or the TX? I would think the RX, but perhaps the TX isn't transmitting ideally either.

I’m not familiar with the radio you’re having issues with, but if I remember correctly the AM stuff I have has different transmitter output levels by model/brand. Which definitely impacted performance.
Another possibility is how well each radio set is matched to its correct frequency, it’s not just the crystals that control that. Do you have any old school airplane shops/clubs in your area? I used to have my stuff individually tuned by an experienced airplane guy. Wasn’t very expensive or hard, basically just adjusting trimming pots to get maximum signal while reading an oscilloscope. Doesn’t have to be an airplane guy of course, but they do seem to be very concerned about radio performance for some reason.

No airplane clubs or experts I know of around me. I'm sure there are, but I don't know where any of them are. I don't even find any truck/car people around. The output level of the TX makes sense...if it's weaker, then interference will more likely be a problem. I'll hopefully be able to avoid using that particular TX/RX combo. I'm hoping it's the TX as I'll try the TTR/AE Jaguar RX with an HPI/Futaba TX.
Thanks.
Thanks.
