Differances between 12 and 13awg
#1
I was just wondering what the best awg is for racing situations, 12, 13, 16. Also is there a real noticeable difference between the sizes except the oblivious sizes, I mean does anyone notice any more pop or better run times?

well, the thicker the wire, the more amps it will handle. better yet, think of it like this: try drinking a milk shake thru a coffee straw, then try out of a regular straw. but you want to make sure you get the flexible wire. and use good connectors. such as deans. you lose less power that way.

Thicker wire has less resistance. But over 3 or 4 inches of wire from the ESC to the motor... the difference between something like 12 and 13 gauge is almost immeasureable. Only run 16 gauge where the tension of the wire affects suspsension, like a pan car.
The best flexable wire I have used, is TQwire at tqracing.com.
