Default Ezrun issues 150amp

hello, i am experienceing long term problem with my Ez Run 150amp esc for my 8th scale rc8te.

Ive tried many motors and different gearing along with smaller wheels. I dont think the gearing id the issue nor the motors.

I have used 1600kv which was the only motor too run without cuttting out once i had messed with the timing a bit on the esc. the hobbywing company told me that i can use any motor upto 3000kv and i run 4 cell lipo only, incidently my lipo is rated at 30c and capacity of 5000mah.

Ive used a turnigy 2600kv motor which was insaine in the truggy but it got quite hot quickly, and kept unscrewing the front cap of the motor and inevitably in the end burnt the insulation of one of 2 of the windings.

That motor also would not run for long without dropping in power and stopping, only to me having too switch esc of and back on again to get it too work.

At no time have i ever had the esc run hot or even moderately warm for that matter.

Now im using a 2200kv wanderer 7t 540 L can. Which also cuts out after short while of use, my next motor ile try will be a Speed Passion Silver Arrow 1:8th Brushless Motor - 7.5T which is 2300kv.

Ive seen on forums not too put the timing lower as it does not effect the esc temps or help with the matter. (odd i know) but ive seen a few people confirm this also and had there escs burn out subsequently after finding the information too late .

now i have been told to turn down the timing and the throttle punch also buy one person but i wont go lower than 2 from bottom, lowest just to be safe.

Every piece of my equipment is new so i dont have wear and tear issues but a technical issue.

It does spring to mind that perhaps the lipos are substandard perhaps ? but they are not getting hot at all and in my opinion if it was a voltage drop under current draw surely it would do it right off the bat and not mins into my run. having 500mad cels i should get a good 10 mins but so far im using car for 5 mins tops.
p.s i have selected manual 4 cell cut off as advised even though the manual says it is defaulted to auto set.
Now another thing is i am totally unaware what to expect and how it will act if the lipos are low voltage. could it be what i am experiencing ? could it be that aftter i cut off the power and restart it again the esc resets adn i get another very short stint of power untill the esc runs its course and confirms the cells are running low ?
