I had one in my 8ight-T. It's an awesome servo with an overkill amount of torque. Compared to the 9100T I really couldn't notice a difference. Since they both have tons of toque at about the same speed. I did have a problem with my 8711 though. It developed alot of play in the gears. JR has been good with warranty so I am sure they will fix or replace it for me. I just through in a HITEC 7955TG well I wait for the 8711 return and will see what I like better. I went with HITEC this time because they have never given me any problems so there was no reason to leave them in the first place. JR has only given me one problem but that is one more then HITEC.

So anyways the 8711 should be an awesome servo for you. Just make sure you set your endpoints. This servo has enough torque to really do some damage if you don`t.

Default ds8711

I have been running mostly the JR line of servo's for the last 4 yrs. Curently running the 9100t, 9100s in buggy and 9100s, ds8711 in truggy. I have owned THE DS8711 servo for almost 3 1/2 yrs. It has been installed in 2 different Truggys and a Buggy. The most durable servo I have ever used. Does not feel quite as fast as the 9100t. Absolutely no complaints.

DO you guys think this servo will be OK using Lipo power? are any of you running Lipo power directly to it and what effect on life and performance does it put on the servo? I just got 2 of them for my 8igth t-2.0

After a while, mine would repeatedly strip out that plastic gear as well.....
