Default novak to brushed chart

Does anyone know of a chart that converts a novak motor to a brushed motor? I have a 17.5 and will be getting another system with the 8.5 motor.

There is no real brushed to brushless chart that I know of..they don't exactly compare but 17.5/27t and 13.5/19t are the most common. Other than that I don't know. It's not exactly like comparing apples to apples, it's more like granny smith vs. red delicious

Is the EX the one with the gold ring that comes with the base 8.5? If so that was the one i was looking at. How is it junk?

If the base model isnt worth the money, then i may look into the havoc 3s with the 8.5. My only concern is that I am not sure if the 3s is roar legal.

We discontinued the EX motor series (w/bonded rotors) last year. All SS Pro motors and the 8.5 motor in the Havoc Sport system have sintered rotors. So they are not "junk".

The motor in the Havoc3S/Ballistic 8.5 system is ROAR approved. Using 3S lipos in ROAR-sanctioned events is not allowed, but the Havoc 3S esc can be used with a 2S pack.

Yes I meant the ones with the gold band. They had bonded rotors which ran hot so even though it was an 8.5 you couldn't gear it like the rest. They were a budget motor so just not a quality piece IMO. I'm a Novak guy but those WERE "junk" IMO
