Help with DX3.0
#1
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem.
Frequently my car will loose all control input throughout a race. Usually when I loose line of sight to the car. Sometimes I just loose throttle, other times I loose steering and throttle.
The car is a B44 with a Novak GTB, Orion 17.5 and a Spekrum DX3.0 radio system.
The track that I race on takes a path around a tree that causes you to momentarily loose sight of your car. Often after going around this tree I loose all control with the car and it rolls to a stop, I regain control between 10 and 20 seconds later. This can happen multiple times per race.
After a failed jump with a hard landing the same thing can happen. I have even placed my car on the track, driven it to it's grid position (so it is actaully working), then walked up to the drivers stand and by the time the buzzer goes for the start of the race, my car has decided to not respond for about 20 seconds.
The motor does not run hot (120/130 F after a 6 minute heat), I have tried re-sinking the receiver to the transmitter. I try running an arial out of the body shell or just tapping the arial wire to the chasis - but this makes no difference.
I plan to re-wire the whole car and swap over to a spare receiver that have (which I used to use - and it exhibited the same behaviour). I don't know what to do other than buy all new electronics and try my luck again.
The DX3.0 was running re-chargeables that was delivering ~10 volts on the transmitter. I have been told you shouldn't really have a problem until you drop below 9 volts.
It's very dissapointing to work your way up a few places only to have your car go on holidays for about 20 seconds and find yourself dead last - again and again.
Any help / suggestions would be very much appreciated.
