I have a traxxas 1/16 scale vehicle and use the powercell nimh packs. Should I go lipo? Will it increase runtime? Do they ever loose power like nimh after you use them over and over for a while? The only thing is the cost but let me know what you think about lipo. Thanks!

I'd go for the LiPo! They generate almost no heat.. can be charged back-to-back and run all day long... they dont need maintenance... and they will preform and last longer than NiMh.. Runtime will also be longer for the same mah rating..

Go lipo - when I switched, my runtimes went up 30%. It seems expensive, but they are cheaper than NiMh when you figure a per run cost and have next to nothing for maintenance. They do wear out, but it takes a lot of cycles before you start seeing that if you maintain them (balancing).
I def don't regret making the change!

Hey, I just bought an Associated SC10 and I'm clueless to which battery and charger to run with. I tried searching, but can't find a direct answer).
I want Lipo due to the run time, but I don't want to burn the stock motor like my friend did the first day with his SC10. Any/All advice is appreciated, thanks!

Go Lipo if you can afford it, but one thing you need to be cautious about is over discharging them. Your ESC may not be Lipo friendly, which means it may not have the voltage cutoff protection to protect your lipos. Just be sure when you feel the power start to leave you batteries its time to stop and charge them.

Check out the Zippy Lipos at Hobbycity.com. They have several packs that are a direct fit. I have been using them in several cars for awhile now and they perform as good or better than some over-priced name brand batteries i have.
