If you are reffering to a lipo, then no dont charge it if its not flat. Charging a puffed lipo is just a call for disaster.

Nmh batteries are not flat. They are made up of sub C cells usually in two rows but sometimes in 6 cells in parellel. If your talking about the bumps in between the cells that's just fine.

What I mean is I charged it last night till its full. Give it a couple of runs and I was planning to charge it again today. Keep in mind that the battery is not flat meaning there is still some power in it. I know its not advisable to charge the battery in that state but its ok once in a while right?

before i know how to discharge and cycle them. all i did was run it charge it run it charge it run it charge it. after a little whil my venom battery dident like it and one cell went but that was after constant charging and no cooling in between now i only race my electrices and discharge them and what not. so it will be fine just dont do what i did or you'll have cells going.

I'll assume it's not a race pack anyway (otherwise, you wouldn't abuse it).

If you have time, charge it at a lower amp rate (1-3 amps). Makes it kinder on the battery.

Later, after you play it, maybe deep discharge it, and once every so often (maybe once in 10 charges), slow charge it overnight from a deeply discharged state (.4 amps, or C/10, even .3amps) for 12-15 hours.

I do a deep discharge once in a while (.9v per cell, or 5.4v for 6 cells) using only .5 amp discharge rate (AFTER the pack has been used in the car -- otherwise, it would take forever to discharge a pack).

Sorry I mistook what you said. You meant not completely discharged. Nhm batteries are more toelrant of charging from half to full than Ncd batteries but if you charge them enough times from incomplete discharge to full they will develop memory just like Ncd and won't completely charge anymore.

Alfalfameister gives some good advice.
