well, those servos arent very high end at all, personally i thought losi went cheap on those servos for the truggy and buggy. ive run one of those jr servos a long time back and they dont last long. id invest in a nice servo that is priced around 100$ the futaba 9351 is a great choice.

Do you know what EPA is? It stands for end point ajustment. Your servo may be trying to move more than your wheels can actually go. Or your throttle servo may be trying to open up your carb more than it can actually go. When it does this your servo may strip gears, heat up, burn up or break however they break. Check your manual for the section on end point ajustments (EPAs). Set it so your servo only turns as much as the parts want to go. I can run a low quality JR servo racing hard for a LOT longer than 3 hours

Exactly what I was gonna say,EPA's set wrong will kill a cheaper servo in a heartbeat.

Does your ssteering linkage all move smoothly when the servo is not connected. You may have something in a bind and if so, you can keep kissing servos good bye.

Those servos are just not up to the task of 1/8 throttle duty even with EPA's set right. I tried to run 650's when I first started running 1/8 and after two of them going up in smoke I got a JR8800T and put it on throttle and its been there for two years and I havent had one bit of trouble. Now for 1/10 duty the 650 is great.
