Brushless Motor rating is equal to .....

This is one of those n00b q's since Ive been out of r/c racing brushless has become more popular and I was curious if a manufacture out there lists something that shows what the brushless equivelent is to the brushed motor counter parts ....whats really considered a "mod" motor anymore cause It doesnt seem to be based on windings like it used to ....maybe Im just too old school

ok if im right i font this (Kv x Volts = RPM) so 6000kv x 7.4v=44400 rpm
if im right its (turns x volts)x 1000 = RPM) 5.5 x 7.4=40.7 x 1000= 40700 rpm
it does not really mach up but what what i can find, i know i might be doing something wrong but that is what i fond (kv x volts = rpm) so i would go form there if you know the turns to rpm then you should have no prob knowing what you wont to know

intresting ....hymmm this was easier when you use to be able to look at a track layout and know what turn motor and what winding was ideal for the track conditions
as it seems the lower the number rating on the motor to more powerful it is which makes sense at least from what I saw on this post in regards to the Novak motors ...

Maybe divide the RPMs by 2?? That would make more sense. That would make the 9T 4300KV motor turn at 33300rpm.I also learned that the turn equivilence of a brushless to brushed motor is not 1:1, it's more like 1.4:1. So my 9T brushless motor is closer to a 12T brushed(9X1.4=12.6). Only thing it will have more torque. How's that for confusing?

17.5=27
13.5=19
10.5=fast 17
8.5=16-15
7.5=14-12
6.5=11-10
5.5=9-8
4.5=7ish
3.5=6ish
2.5=too fast
this is just about right, but it depends on your manufacter, novak is more torque based so they would be equal to something like EXAMPLE: 10x1 and lrp are more speed so they are more like EXAMPLE: 10x3. Hope this helps, either way, brushless kicks brushed ass in everything except 4wd off road.

I'll tell you what if it wasn't for the Chinese stuff the sport of RC racing would be only for the rich. The rest of us would be relegated to driving Walmart toys on the living room rug. I don't especially like the idea of Chinese goods but they sure put the clamps on "American" made stuff. Oh and I have had more trouble with Losi and Associated products than I ever had a with a Chinese product.

im not hating on the chineese rc products but just to let you know, when they say 9t, it dont mean 9t. The chineese are not very good at designing in the rc world. The Europeans and Americaans are way better at it because of experience. Also, the american made products are not made in sweat shops by 10 year olds. I have more trust in the american made stuff than the chineese. Now for the japanese and koreans, they dont mess around, their shit is good. kyosho, yokomo, and tamiya are all japanese and korean i believe. They are good companies. Associated and Losi are american and are very good. If what problems have your had with them, If your bashing their vehicles thats your first problem because they are race vehicles.

I got this off a RC forum, I thought that 17.5 was more equal to a 27 turn?
13.5 are faster that 27 turns....
