Default airtronics/spektrum

I just bought an airtronics servo 94738 off the the For Sale section of this board. I want to use it with a Spektrum receiver. The servo has blue/blck/red wires and a funky connector on it that has ridges between the contact points. It does not want to fit into the Spektrum receiver.

Any ideas ? Solutions ? Do I need a different connector on the servo ? Will Airtronics wire on up for me if I send it back ? any other solutions that don't require mailing the servo off ?

thanks
Mike

That's an older servo.. probably has the older black Airtronics plug on it (used to say Sanwa on it).. you need to use a newer blue "Z" connector to fit it in a Spektrum receiver.

You could send it to Airtronics, but for the price you'd have to pay, it would be more than that servo is worth. You'd be better off changing the wires yourself. Check your local hobby shop and see if they have a lead you can change it too.. or maybe just look for a better used servo.. I've seen metal geared, high speed used servos that sold for $100 go for under $30 on ebay. That servo you got is basically a plastic geared, ball bearing, stock servo.

Good luck!
