Default Slower reception at distance?

I have a Futaba 3PK with a Spektrum system in it and I am running lipo rec. pack and Hitec 5955TG servos, this is in my Mugen MBX6. The last race I ran on the back straight it is a big triple you have to do as a double-single.
Anyway every now and then when I would get ready to blip it to clear the single it either would go full throttle or not let off the gas soon enough, some times it was fine? No problems with steering!
I just put some slicks on it and ran it down my road blipping all the way the farther I got away the slower the response got, I know it takes a little more time to travel that distance but you shouldn't be able to see the differance.
Could the throttl servo be going bad?

Are you using the original spektrum or spektrum pro?

Time for the signal to travel....you would never notice that, you have to have something else going on.

I'v got the same prob with my e-maxx...

tekin RX8 on a 4s, 2250kv motor, orig. spek. in a EX-10...

up close there is no lag at all, at about 100yd it starts to develep a lag... one thing you can do to help is get a glitch buster cap on the reciver

IDK how tencnical savy you are, but you can make your own too...

He's running nitro. The glitch buster is only used in electric powered vehicles where the amp draw from the motor is very high. Such as your E-Maxx.

OfnaJoe,

Check the transmitter batteries. When they get low you will notice reduced range, and delay at a distance. The Spektrum system I had lost all but 6ft of range when the batteries in my 3PK hit 9.5 volts, which is much higher than the low voltage alarm in the 3PK. Hope this helps.

I noticed this too on a Spektrum Pro equipped M11. At about a hundred meters, I started noticing the lag. This was bound to a SR3001 receiver. I recently switched to a DX3R and bound the same SR3001 receiver to it but this time no lag at all. This was all tested on my Baja 5b SS. So it seems that it has something to do with the transmitter.

No voltage problems, lipos in both TX and RX, TX=12.9v and RX=9+v
It just started all of a sudden, I have ran this combo with nimh for about 4 years when ever the Spektrum 1st came out for the 3PK with no problems, and have ran lipo RX packs for about 15-20 tanks of fuel with no problems, But as soon as I put the lipo in the TX is when it started going ape-chit.
Could it be to much voltage for the TX? Seems that would be better!

9+ volts for your lipo receiver battery? Is it a 3s?

All lipo RX packs at the moment require a regulator to bring the voltage down to ~6.5v. All spektrum RX's can handle up to 9v, however, most servo's can't. That might be why you fried a servo?

I'm using a DX3S and noticed that once in a while, seems to be when the car antenna is hidden behind the body and out of line-of-sight. I'd say rebind and try standard AA's in the 3pk.

Im having this same problem in my M8 with spektrum. Just started this weekend and changing batteries, changing servos and changing RX did not help. Bind my sons DX2.0 to it and no problems at all. Bind my M8 back to it and same problem. Wrote spektrum but no reply yet.
