Default Blinky Balancer ???

I use a AstroFlight Blinky Balancer.

I have a question on the status of the LEDs. I checked the manual but the symptom i am seeing is NOT in the manual.

Problem:
I have an ORION 7.4v 2S-1P 3800mAh 30C bettery and when i install the Blinky to balance it. The Cell 1 led constantly blinks every 1 sec.

I also have a Flightmax 7.4v 2S-1p 4000mAh 25C Battery and it aslo does the same thing. Both of these batteries have the same type of connetion where they are removable and the balance port is in the middle.

I also have a IP 7.4v 2S-1p 4000 20C Battery. That the output leads and the balance port are NOT removable and this battery balances the way it should. I starts with the LEDs on and when it is done balancing they all turn off.

Here is a pic showing the batteries.

any ideas? Is this normal?

Little doubt that the Orion is balanced, just too good of a lipo for it not to be balanced. That leaves the connection you're making - manual says "pins should be in the order of voltage - most negative on batt to most negative on balancer" and that looks like how it's connected.

This has got to be the diff in the way these car pacs connect. Is the middle wire (blue) in the right voltage sequence?

I'm not sure if i understand what you are saying, but the blue wire can only go in the middle of both the battery and the balancing port. I think i will try to call Orion tech support.

It could be that you,ve got one overcharged cell in each of your packs. Did you check voltage of each cell with a voltmeter?
