Broken antenna
#1
One of the sections of my antenna came apart while pulling it up to hard....I tried to solder it but the solder does not stick. Is there a good method to repair it? Maybe sanding where it want to solder to stick would work? Anyone tried this or have a better method? Thanks for any info !

Dude, they unscrew, so buy a new one!
I think the only way to fix it would be to silver solder it, with a flame, not a soldering iron. But I don't think a new antenna would cost much, and you can normally find one in an old transmitter no-one else wants anymore.

What radio?
You may be able to get a replacement antenna, they generally unscrew from the radio and you just screw in the new one. I replaced the one on my 3PK after it got stepped on and badly bent.

Just one more reason I love my DX3R
The only thing I miss is when some putz mindlessly swings his radio around hitting everything with his antenna,
I don't have an antenna to hit him with
