my servos are K.O.

Two years ago I bought three KO2413 servos...

I tried to use one of them on my Yokomo BD, but experienced that it was noisy, gritty and simply not going to neutral each time I was steering.
I noticed that the case was not closed (screws were not tightened...).
I checked the others (just took a look) and ... surprise! not a screw tightened!

On the web I found that it was a well known problem....

I claimed with the shop that sold them to me....

The shop owner claimed with KO....

Last year he went to the Nurnberg Toy Fair (Spielwarenmesse) and he claimed again with the guys from KO.... they simply said that the problem doesn't exist....

Well, last saturday I went to Nurnberg ... to the Toy Fair... and claimed with the guys from KO... they smiled and said that the problem doesn't exist... they also said that I'd eventually claim with the shop that sold them to me. etc etc...

One thing is sure.... MY SERVOS ARE K.O.

that sucks, I didn't know that about ko servos, thanks for the heads up

hmmm, never had that issue.

I always take a new servo apart and grease with some futaba servo grease the re-assemble making sure to tighten the screws in a cross pattern.

KO service in the US is TOP NOTCH

I am told that the early batches of KO2413 had this problem.

Unfortunately they must not have tightened screws... or it becomes even worse.... that's why they came with loose screws out of the box!!!

I can't stand the way they treated me.... just as the problem didn't exist...

I've also never had a problem with the 2413. In fact, just the opposite, it's a great servo. I know lots of people using it without problems.

I agree with that. Robert at KO USA really seems to take care of his customers - his Canadian ones, too.

I have lots of KO gear (radio, esc and multiple servos) and have never had any issues with any of it. Been using KO since 2001.

I can say the same for the 2173s and 2174s I've been using for ages...

but this happened with first batches of 2413....
