Default Need help picking out a charger

OK, I want to get this lipo battery:

Team Losi 4S Li-Poly Starter Box Battery Pack 20C (14.8V/2200mAh

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/21887

and I already have this charger:

Hobbico AC/DC Accu-Cycle Elite Battery Cycler

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXEYD4&P=ML

I dont think the charger I have now will charge this battery, so, I want to pick out a AC/DC charger that will charge the LOSI batery. Can someone help??

Thanks for the info,
MLB

Looking for ac/dc might narrow down the options a bit.
If you are open to using a 12v power supply their are many great lipo chargers out right now.
You can spend 50 or 250
I guess you need to figure out where you are going with your charging needs before you go out and buy something you will out grow shortly.

I use the Hyperion DUO charger $250.00 and love it.

A few of my friends have the Turnigy charger and is great for the price $50.00

This 0606i is a great little charger but requires a power supply

any what I would look for something with a built in balancer

Or perhaps the Hyperion EOS 0606i AD-A.

AC/DC Input - up to 6A/6S with 50W Max, enough for your battery.

Includes the balancer.

HP-EOS606IAD by hyperion, my buddy just got one, I set it up for him, it's a really great deal, check out all the details on amain. I am thinking of ditching my LRP chargers after 5 years for one of these, it's loaded with features, and you don't have to lug around a power supply

The screen should look like this before starting charge:

LiPo CHARGE
C=2200mAh 4S

See, it's pretty straight forward. This will charge at a maximum of 2.2 amps, known as a 1C charge. Towards the end of charge you will notice that the amps will drop off. It takes a while to put that last little bit in, it doesn't hurt the battery if you stop charging earlier, you just won't have a complete charge.

Check the mAh reading to see how much it took to recharge, it will show it as it's charging. For best lipo life you should not be using more than 80% of the 2200mAh capacity.

Be sure to use the correct balancing adapter, the 5 small wires. Also connect the main red/black power wires.
