Questions?? Futaba Question

I have a Futaba 2ph and was wondering if i could retrofit a 9.6v battery pack to power the transmitter. The pack looks like eight AA's shrink wrapped, and the futaba take eight standard AA's. just wondering

Yes. The voltage will just be a bit lower then with AA's and wont last but a race night. AA lithium FTW.
