Broke 3PM?

Broke 3PM?
I have a Futaba 3PM FM. I was out at the track doin some practice laps with the slash. I set the Tx down for a minute and now the steering "wheel" will not re-center itself. It will work, the wheels on car turn correctly. It seems like a spring came off inside the Tx that keeps tension and centers the "wheel".
Any experience with this? Is it fixable? It was an e-bay aquisition so there will be no warranty on it. Thanks.

cptxaggie can send it in for "repair," after checking the Futaba USA website for contact info and address for their repair facility, but I seriously doubt there would be any negotiation involved.

Sorry to hear about you radio prob. Futaba service - well its good, they did fix my prob, but it took just shy of forever.
I use a 3PK and when you move the wheel to the dropped position, everything is right there - there's a piece they call the "wheel unit" that the wheel mounts on and I'd think your problem is in that part. If you can get that part, its prob going to be thru through hobbyservices. Its is not shown in the parts listing for the radio. I don't know if you can take that part apart and if you did what you would need to fix it. At least it still works (sorta), I can imagine how irritating that is. I had a 1:1 lose centering in the power strg, that got old really quick!

No, there's not - you fill out a request form, send it and the radio in and wait.Yours is on the serviceable list, btw and then they will write you with an estimate on whether its worthwhile to repair and if it is, an estimate. You decide what to do, they may offer to sell you a previously repaired unit. Slow process, at least it was for me.
