I sent my Havoc in to get the "update" on it, got it back runs great now. The only thing i would like is more agressive brakes.

However after reading this i am not %100 sure if it just a Tx, Rx issue.. what do you guys think?

Mine fried as soon as it sent power to the motor after the setup was done. It worked for exactly 0 seconds I sure hope Novak stands behind their product, this could be my first and last product from them.

I had the Havoc/13.5 in my buggy and moved it to my new SC10. I just bought the Havoc/17.5 that I want to put in the truck and the 13.5 back in my buggy. Does it hurt the warrenty if I just change the motor on the truck and put the new ESC in the buggy with the old 13.5 motor or do the motor and ESC need to stay togather?

NO, they don't expect you to keep the system together forever. If something goes wrong they can tell if it was something you did or not..plug battery in backwards....

Well I just got mine back from Warranty, I then wired it upto my 13.5 that was working sweet before the speedy was sent away to get fixed and now it cogs like no ones business.
When I pull the trigger i can see the red and green lights come on saying there is a signal issue, i checked it all and it does the same thing. turns out its the Motor as my 17.5 works fine. Can you get Motors serviced or do you just bin them??

Also, ive tried this a couple of times, when i alter some of the parameters the esc won't go back to just a red light when in neutral...is this correct? It come up with a couple of other lights as well as the red. Only when i redo the 1 touch setting do i get just a red light up but then that over rides any parameter change i made..

I'm glad this is the only Novak product i have.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you have been having... normally we ask that when you have a problem with your brushless system, you send the whole thing in to us so we can verify that both the motor and the ESC are working properly.

And yes the motors can be serviced. If it's under the 120 day warranty simply print and fill out the warranty service form and send it in for inspection.

If the motor is not under warranty, we still offer a non-warranty exchange program that will allow you to exchange your motor for a fresh remanufactured motor for $39 for most motors.

In regards to the lights being on at netural: They are normal... they are simply indicators to you that the settings are different than the default settings... IE if you've added drag brake, you will see a blue and amber LED on at neutral in addition to the red LED.

I had almost the same exact story as you. My first Havoc destroyed itself and took one of my Nihm's with it. Then my replacement Havoc gave out after a few laps at the track. Like you, they upgraded me to a GTB for my trouble. I have not had a problem since. The GTB is a great. While the Havoc gave me nightmares, their customer service is terrific.

I run a Havoc in my stock buggy and have had no issues what so ever. Geared corectly, these esc's should really have no issues. Last weekend I TQ'd and took 1st in the A-main using a Havoc!
