LRP Fan - PLEASE HELP
#1
All,
The fan on my lrp80750 Sphere Competition TC-Spec ESC took a dive and is no longer working.... I am running a 6.5 motor and don't really think it was necessary as i have not had any problems since its untimely demise.... So i guess i have 2 options... Option 1) return to LRP for repair (which based on what i have heard could take forever) or Option 2) remove the fan...
Unlike the Novak fan which uses a plug, the LRP fan is hard wired into ESC.... Assuming I choose to remove it, how should i go about doing this? If i cut the wires, do i need to terminate them in some fashion?
Thx

Yes you do need to terminate the wires in some fashion, as power could still be going through them, depending on the fault.
Or you could pop it open and unsolder/snip off the wires where they meet the circuit board (which is on a chip).
