Default solder posts help

I'm getting ready to wire up my new brushless speedo (thanks Santa!!) and it has posts instead of tabs. Soldering to tabs is cake for me but I've never used the posts before...any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

For most any soldering task the biggest trick is having a quality iron which holds heat and is very high temp.
