Default Lipo question

Can I use a 6 volt regulator with a 11.1 lipo battery to power my spectrum recever? To get longer time instead of a 7.4 pack.

Its not voltage thats going to give you a longer run time, but if you just have a 3S lipo to use, def need a regulator to keep from frying the recvr. The downside is the heat a regulator will generate dropping voltage from 11.1+ to 6v. Regulator will prob have a heat sink and will need some cooling air to di its job.

You might be better off with a 2S lipo instead.
