Adjusting the trigger on my 3pks!
#1
Gang, I have a 3pks and really enjoy the radio however the trigger position is a bit awkward for me, i.e. full forward throw puts my hand in a very awkward position. Outside of heating the plastic trigger and adjusting it is there another way to move the trigger position back towards the main body of the radio?
As you can imagine, when I apply break this is very awkard which makes for a poor transition between throttle and break. Any advice is greatly appreciated! BTW I've already tried wrapping heat shrink around the trigger to reduce the gap between the throttle and break side of the trigger.

my method is a bit extreme, but i opened up my dx3r and dx3 and spaced them out so the throw was more inline with the motion of my finger instead of striaght with the unit.most of the trigger assemblies are there own little units screwed to the housing.it required i little grinding to the housing as well.
yes it would probably void any warranties, but that didnt bother.if you dont feel comfortable doing it,i wouldnt try it.i can say it made a world of difference for my short fingers.

Very creative approach...I may have to take a look into that method! The new 4PK has an adjustable trigger...all that adjustability for the scant price tag of $499.00!
Thanks for the input!

search for radio trigger mods and it has pics for the dx3.the dx3r was a little trickier because i had to take off the lcd protector, but all in all they where both pretty simple, just some longer screws and some fuel line.
with all the engineering in rc,it seems absurd to me that the manufacturers dont even try to match the trigger throw to the arc of your finger.maybe they think it would be too weird.your finger moves in an arc,but they mount the trigger on a tangeant?
to each their own
