Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my T-Maxx. I took it out today and every time I got more than 20 feet or so away from me I lost the radio. So, I assumed that it was a battery problem. I put new batteries in both the radio and reciever. A short time later... ( maybe ten minutes of run time) I was running almost full throtle when it decided to keep going. I lost all control over it and it just ran full speed in a strait line until it found a nice hill in its way to stop it. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Thanks!

If antenna wire has been shortened for any reason, that will affect range. Check for any cuts or nicks in antenna wire especially close ro the rx. If any of the wire strands in the antenna wire have been cut, that can affect range too. Make sure its not getting pinched anywhere either. Buy and install a failsafe!! You got lucky this time - next time it could be an expensive crash that stops it.
I had same trouble with mine - was overhead powerlines - interference. My prob didn't get solved until I converted to FM system.

^^ same here. I struggled with the AM, glitching, non responsive. After a year I forked out for a 2nd hand 3pk, and it makes EVERYTHING so much easier.
There are a number of things you can check/do. As well as the other comments here, try:
- Keeping your reveiver as far away from your esc and motor as possible.
- twist the wires to your motor, and keep them close to each other.
- add a ferrite bead to your esc signal wire
- make sure you have reaonable capacitors on your motor
- get a glitch buster for your esc.
All of the above are inexpensive steps that may give you a whole lot more control. Worked for me until I started racing down the road from a TV station!

brushless in a T-Maxx? OK then, toh
A couple of other things to check.
Make sure your TX crystal is in the transmitter and the RX in the receiver. Make sure your antanna is all the way extended on the radio and not coiled up on the receiver.
Remove any y-connectors
If you don't want to spend for a failsafe, simply put a small rubber band on the throttle end of the servo so it returns to idle with no signal. If you have a failsafe, try removing it.
