Default Duratrax ICE issues help please

Hey. I just got a duratrax ice today. And im having issues with it. I set up my battery in the menu and go to discharge and it says shorted battery. And the batteries are perfectly fine. Ive tried 5 batteries and all the same. Ive tried charge discharge and cycle and the same. Ive also removed the charge leds and tried to charge and it also says shorted battery and theres nothing pluged in i would think it would read no battery or check connection like my old duratrax charger digital parana.

Any help please hopefully its just a setting

Thanks
Dan

Used or new? If you don't have the manual, you need it - can get online. Go thru the manual and set up batt by the manual. If its a setting you've got wrong, that should clear it up. Can get manual here -

If this doesn't fix it and its same for diff batts of diff type - poss charger prob.

yea ive tried everything. I set it up and called a local hobby shop and still the same issue. even with the leds out of the charger and no battery hooked up reads shorted. It should read no battery as the manual says. The charger is brand new

Sorry, but you appear to have gotten a bad one.

Time to take it back where you bought it and see if they'll make it good. DTX has been good whenever I've had a prob with their stuff if you have to go directly to them. You'll get a working charger, just going to take a little time.
