GTB on 3S

My (out of warranty) GTB needs a bit of an upgrade to 3S. I'd like to not pull 85 running amps on 2S for my speed car, and would love to go to 3S without spending on a whole new esc setup.
So, I did a little digging...the GTB mosfets are rated at 30v, the BEC is rated at 26v, seems I'd just need to swap the fan for a 12volt model (fan on direct battery voltage in the GTB) and I'd be good to go it might seem. I have the heatsink no longer using that low thermal conductivity pad and using some honest to goodness Arctic Silver to cool those mosfets much better, so cooling shouldnt be too much of an issue I think at this point.
I'm thinking get a 3S Smartstop for lipo voltage cutoff duty and it should be good to go. But maybe I might be missing something so I thought I would run my idea past some of you guys...anything I might be missing?
