hey guys
lately i have been thinking about lipo batterys and i have seen some lipos that are made in to like 2 hard cases, like there 1 whole lipo split in half, so they can be put on like both sides of some rc cars. Any idea on what there called? because im curious if u can charge 1 half of them at a time

They are generally called saddle packs. Yes I believe you can charge one side at a time as a 1S, assuming it's a standard 2S pack.

The saddle packs I've seen are two separate lipos wired together to make a single lipo - they're charged/balanced as one pack.

Went and looked at some and they are set up to use plug in wires to connect them - this type it would work just the way you wanted. Just be sure to get the type that isn't wired together.
